After church we headed to the traditional Salvadorian fried chicken joint, Pollo Campero, for lunch. Then team members Amberly & Amanda along with volunteers Carolina & Audrey left to start decorating for the Quinceañera while the rest of the team headed to a large center filled with 200+ kids of all ages. We did the Bible study and then played with kids making bracelets, painting faces, drawing with side walk chalk, blowing bubbles, painting finger nails, and just talking with the kiddos. After playing tic tac toe with some of the young boys, I headed straight to the teen moms and babies. I had the privilege of holding a sweet baby so his young mama could make bracelets. I talked with the girls, and tried to love on them as much as I could in the short time period. These girls have my heart, and I’m always drawn to them especially understanding what it’s like to be a teen mom myself. When it was time to go a plethora of hugs and squeezes ensued. Pray for these kids. Pray for these young mamas and their babies.![]()
